This policy explains how we handle personal data on metagame.latansky.com, the English-language MetaGame™ programme website. It also explains your choices about analytics.

Who is responsible

Visiting this website

Our hosting and security providers process request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, response status, browser and device information to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose faults. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website. Hosting is provided through OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare.

Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm security cookie to distinguish automated traffic and help protect the site. A 30-minute expiry was observed on this website. This security cookie is separate from optional Google Analytics cookies. Server requests from automated crawlers do not establish whether our content was cited or used for AI training.

Registration and contacting us

The embedded registration form is provided by Ontraport. It asks for your first and last name, email address and telephone number. When you use the form, Ontraport also processes technical information, including IP address and available referral or campaign information. Its form includes fields for advertising identifiers when these are present. The form loads resources from Ontraport and Google-hosted software libraries; these requests disclose connection information to their providers.

We use registration details to respond to your request, arrange participation and administer the programme, on the basis of steps you request before entering a contract and performance of that contract. We use correspondence to answer questions and provide support. Submitting a programme enquiry does not itself mean consent to unrelated marketing.

The form is a separate third-party service. Your analytics choice below controls MetaGame’s Google Analytics installation; it does not disable the registration form or control all cookies set by Ontraport. Your browser’s third-party-cookie controls may affect the form. See Ontraport’s privacy information.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics separately from Google Analytics for basic page-visit and performance statistics. Its browser beacon reports information such as the page, referring site, browser and loading performance. According to Cloudflare, this service does not use analytics cookies or fingerprint visitors. It runs independently of the optional Google Analytics choice. Cloudflare also processes network requests when delivering the beacon and receiving measurements; this should not be confused with the separate security and hosting services described above. We use these limited measurements for our legitimate interest in understanding and improving website performance. See Cloudflare’s description of Web Analytics.

Optional Google Analytics

Only after you select Accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and use of participation, registration and contact links. Google processes pseudonymous identifiers and technical information such as browser, device and approximate location. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, form contents or personal information in URLs. Our event URLs omit query strings and fragments. Clicking a participation button is not recorded as a purchase or a successful registration.

The legal basis is your consent. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled in this website’s analytics code and in our Google Analytics resource settings. Before your choice and after Decline, this installation does not load Google Analytics or send consent-mode pings. See Google’s privacy policy.

Cookies and your choice

You can select Accept or Decline in the analytics banner. Ignoring it or scrolling is not consent. We store this preference in this subdomain’s local storage for 180 days. It is not shared with latansky.com or other subdomains. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings.

Declining or withdrawing consent stops new events from our Google Analytics installation. Withdrawal removes the analytics cookies this website created using its own metagame prefix and reloads the page to clear the loaded analytics code. It does not delete analytics cookies belonging to other latansky.com websites. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Who receives information

Access is limited to our authorised team and providers needed for hosting, security, registration, communications and any analytics you permit. These include OpenAI Sites, Cloudflare, Ontraport and, if you accept analytics, Google. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights.

International processing

Our company is in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, those transfers must be covered by an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Contact us to request information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiries and registration records for as long as needed to respond, administer your participation and meet applicable accounting, legal and dispute-resolution obligations. We assess continued need when a request is resolved or a contractual relationship ends. Security logs are retained according to the hosting and security providers’ operational settings; we have not established one fixed retention period that applies to all infrastructure logs.

Our Google Analytics cookies are configured to expire after one year without renewing that expiry on each visit. You can remove them earlier by withdrawing consent. The Google Analytics resource is configured to retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for 14 months; the latter period resets when a user returns. These settings do not apply to most aggregated standard reports. The cookie lifetime is separate from these report-retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time. Send requests to [email protected]; we may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. For visitors in Hungary, this is NAIH.
